To the Women of Temple Beth David (TBD):

The Board of Directors of The Sisterhood of TBD would like to welcome you to the new Sisterhood year, 2020-2021. Although this year will be different than most - due to the corona virus - we are still planning some fun events, educational activities, and interesting virtual outings.

Here is a sampling of last year's Sisterhood activities: visited the Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art followed by lunch at Lucky Dill; celebrated Chanukah with our annual latke party; watched the mermaid show at Weeki Wachee State Park followed by lunch; held a painting party; conducted the Sisterhood Shabbat service at TBD; and continued our support of Deltona Elementary School with a donation.

Due to this year's unusual circumstances, we plan to be extra-creative for the coming year, since meeting at the temple is not an option for now. Through email, Zoom, Facebook and our Website, we will keep you informed and enlivened with our events.

We hope you will continue to support your Sisterhood this year with your renewal or new membership of $36. If you have joined TBD within the last 12 months, your Sisterhood membership is complimentary for one year.*

About Us

The Sisterhood of Temple Beth David brings together women of all ages to share their lives, careers values, and journeys. Together we create a warm and dynamic community that supports programs to benefit our synagogue, the community, and the Jewish world at large.

Sisterhood members have the opportunity to enrich their lives through personal growth and friendships, intellectual pursuits, community service, leadership development and recognition of the value of their Jewish heritage. In addition, Sisterhood provides financial support to our Temple by sponsoring events geared toward enriching Jewish Life within the Congregation.

Many sisterhood members also often undertake the responsibility of providing religious education for the children of the synagogue. Whether they serve as teachers, administrators or fundraisers or simply provided special gifts at holidays and life cycle events.

Not least, Sisterhood offers Jewish women a place to gather as women and as Jews to socialize with each other and to strengthen our bonds that connect us.

We believe that every Sisterhood member has the opportunity to achieve her fullest potential and participate in and contribute to all aspects of Sisterhood Life at Temple Beth David.

Our dues are double Chai: $36 for the year for current members and if you are a new member of the Temple - you get a one-year complimentary membership.

The Sisterhood of TBD attempts to foster the ideals of Judaism, to promote fellowship among its members, and to serve as a mentor for religious, social, and educational activities. With proceeds from the Annual Food Fest, The Sisterhood contributes to community organizations including Deltona Elementary School, People Helping People (which is a joint effort among Temple Beth David and area synagogues and churches), and the Dawn Center.

Temple Beth David is located just one block south of the intersection of Spring Hill Road and the eastern part of Linden Drive. (see map, below)
